👋Hello! Meet/Learn about Gaia.
Gaia is our second satellite, which we made for the 2025 national CanSat competition.

Durable, modular, redundant.
These three words could best describe Gaia

Redundant primary mission
Our satellite has 12 temperature sensor and 12 barometer, therefore we could complete the primary mission with 12-fold redundancy.

Muon counter
The satellite can mesure muon flux using a plastic scintillator and a silicone photomultiplier (SiPM), which could prove useful for solving muon tomography tasks.

Camera
A 2-megapixel camera was installed on the satellite, which records video to an SD card during its mission, this in combination with the muon counter’s data could prove useful, for example with the mapping of caves.
